Award recipients are invited to a retreat held the day of the pre-conference at STLHE’s Annual Conference. This retreat includes a facilitated session, lunch, and a social and learning excursion focused on innovation. Previous retreats have included an exclusive site visit to the design facilities of Bombardier Aerospace in Montreal, a visit to an underground coal mine in Cape Breton, and a unique personal tour of a medium security correction facility in Kingston.
