These members bring diverse perspectives and lived experiences in many ways: groups within SAPES itself, student perspectives, Black, Indigenous and people of color, geographic diversity, university and college representation, as well as as various social identities.


The mandate of the working group is as follows:

  1. Review current EDI practices, identify gaps and opportunities for improvement.
  2. Recommend a set of strategies and proactive measures to integrate EDI into the work and culture of SAPES.
  3. Send a final report to SAPES members.
