Call for Applications: CELT Senior Editor

Deadline
May 14, 2021

The Society for Teaching and Learning in Higher Education (STLHE) is seeking a senior editor from a Canadian college or university to assemble and oversee the editorial team of Collected Essays on Learning and Teaching (CELT), for a three-year term, with the option of extending the commitment beyond this period.

CELT is published annually and is an online peer-reviewed journal.  It includes scholarly and practice-based articles associated with the annual conference of the Society for Teaching and Learning in Higher Education (STLHE).  Now in its thirteenth volume, the intent is to challenge conference presenters to convert the essence of their peer-reviewed sessions into essay form for dissemination to a wider readership interested in improving teaching and learning practices in higher education.

CELT was created by a team at the University of Windsor, headed by Alan Wright and Jess Raffoul who managed the editorial team from 2007 thru 2014. The managing task then passed through McMaster University and the University of Alberta with Catherine Chiappetta Swanson and Neil Haave, respectively managing the editorial teams. Currently, Jannik Eikenaar has managed the journal from the Okanagan Campus of the University of British Columbia. CELT is hosted by the University of Windsor’s Leddy Library on its open journal system (OJS).

Once in place, the senior editor will assemble an editorial team to publish the annual volume. The team will be supported through the transition process by past managing editors.

If you are is interested in this exciting opportunity or would like more information, please contact the chair of STLHE Publications, Neil Haave at publications@stlhe.ca
