“I have worked closely with Dr. Meadows in my role as Associate Editor for CJSoTL and can attest that he is most deserving of this recognition. He is a visionary, dedicated, and collaborative leader, and his commitment to the success of the journal and the editorial team supporting the journal, is truly to be admired. He is always willing to help and goes above and beyond his duties to ensure that everyone fees welcome and supported. It is evident to all of us who have had both the pleasure and privilege to work alongside him, that Dr. Meadows is truly deserving of this recognition.”
“Ken is one of STLHE’s quiet heroes – a volunteer truly behind the scenes of our journal. Ken has served as managing editor since the journal’s inception in 2010 – a decade long gargantuan task. Ken doesn’t just manage it seamlessly, he attributes all successes to others – although we all know that without him the journal would not happen. Ken is not an STLHE president or a director of a teaching centre but Ken is why we, at STLHE, have the wonderful resource that is CJ-SoTL.”

Gary Poole
University of British Columbia
“As the past-president of STLHE from 2000-2004, Dr. Gary Poole helped to establish working relationships with the 3M Teaching Fellows and the Educational Developers Caucus – two important stakeholders in the society. He also sought to realize STLHE’s goal of becoming a ‘national voice’ in teaching and learning and worked diligently to explore ways that the society could operationalize this vision. In the time since his presidency, he has been no stranger to STLHE. He has presented at numerous STLHE conferences through plenary presentations and concurrent sessions and is well-regarded as a leader, mentor, and scholar among members of the[...]

“Gary has been so involved with STLHE over the years I can’t think of it without him. A past director and President, someone who brought SoTL to Canada and to STLHE, who forged partnerships with ISSOTL, he has mentored countless individuals and organizations over the years about SoTL, about ethics in teaching, and about what it means to be an upstanding member of the STLHE community. His awards honour his successes in scholarship and teaching, but his gift to STLHE? Gary is what the very best of collegiality and mentorship looks like.”
Tim Loblaw
Simon Fraser University
“Two word comes to mind when I think of Tim Loblaw – kindness and commitment. If you have been fortunate enough to work with Tim, you know what I mean. He is caring, thoughtful, informed and more. He brings these and other qualities to the committees, working groups, and boards he serves on, to the projects he engages in, and to the connections he creates with others. Whenever I interact with Tim, I come away from the experience knowing a little more than I did going in, appreciative of the time and attention bestowed upon me, and, honestly, feeling more[...]

Tim is a dedicated educational developer (ED), leader, and mentor. During his ED career, he has worked in multiple post-secondary settings (university, college and institute level) and is currently the Director of Learning and Teaching Technology at Simon Fraser University.”

Lynn Taylor
University of Calgary (retired)
“Lynn has been a long-standing STLHE and EDC guiding light – someone who saw things coming and invited people to be in the right place at the right time to help be the catalysts. Her mentorship is a beacon to the community and her efforts to integrate professional development into EDC have seen significant PD rewards for members. Lynn has also been instrumental in getting the CJSoTL journal going and in bringing SoTL to Canada. That she does all of this (and more) with grace, style, honest feedback, and more than a fair share of wisdom is what makes her[...]
