When: Tuesday, March 18, 1:30-2:30 pm (Eastern Time)

Description:

As bell hooks, writes, “The classroom remains the space of most radical possibility in the academy”. But how do we create these transformative and inclusive learning experiences? What do we need to learn and unlearn? This session will be a personal conversation about how we internalize systems of oppression, how they are reflected in our teaching practices, and how we can create a new vision for how we want to be as educators through deeper self-understanding. Participants will engage in mindfulness practices, self-reflective journalling, and large group conversations in this session.
