Call for Volunteers: TAGSA Award Adjudicator
Deadline
May 31, 2022
At the upcoming STLHE Conference in June of 2022, TAGSA will once again award a graduate student with the TAGSA Award for Outstanding Conference Session Led by a Graduate Student. Read the interview with the 2019 winner, Gerry Gourlay, from the University of Victoria about her presentation “Culture Shift: The Four-Year Transformation of Teaching in a Biology Department.”
Dear Conference attendees,
If you are attending the STLHE conference this June, you can volunteer as an Adjudicator for the TAGSA Award.
Adjudicators will attend a minimum of one STLHE conference presentation led by a graduate student who has applied for the TAGSA award. A short rubric will be provided to adjudicators by the TAGSA Awards Committee. Each session will be adjudicated by more than one volunteer.
If you would like to volunteer:
- To confirm your participation as an Adjudicator, please reach out to our Award Coordinator, Alex Kozelko (akozelko@rrc.ca) with your name, role/appointment, and institutional affiliation.
- Prior to the conference, you will be contacted by the Award Coordinator with a request to select specific sessions for adjudication. Once you confirm and commit to specific session(s), you will receive more details about the simple Award Rubric.
- Immediately following an adjudicated session, you will email the completed Award Rubric to the Award Coordinator at akozelko@rrc.ca.
We hope you will consider volunteering to adjudicate the TAGSA Award.
Those interested in adjudicating the award, please contact us by Tuesday, May 31, 2022. For further information, please email the Award Coordinator Alex Kozelko at akozelko@rrc.ca.
Thank you for your support!
The TAGSA Award Committee
