Summary of minutes

The Board held a special meeting on October 8 re: membership, which notes were accepted by the Board on October 22.  Two motions were passed: 1) that all STLHE awards provide a two-year free membership (with the exception of the Christopher Knapper and the Team Awards); and 2) that one must be a STLHE member to occupy a leadership position within the Society or to be an adjudicator of awards.

In the Board meeting of October 22, the Treasurer reported that she and AOR met with the Treasurers of the constituency groups for budget planning purposes; the budgets of these groups are part of the STLHE budget.  With the expected drop in membership as a result of cancelling the conference, the Treasurer suggested the Board consider membership opportunities and issues   Re: governance issues, the President suggested that the Board look only at legal compliance with the Act at this point.
