Summary of minutes

The Board discussed its functioning, noting particular challenge in recruiting new members. 

Preparations for the upcoming AGM were undertaken. 

An in-depth discussion regarding the Awards portfolio ensued and a purpose statement was approved (“Recognize and celebrate exemplary teaching and learning leaders in higher education in Canada”).  

An Adjudication Committee, with attendant criteria for membership, was established. 

Both the 2019 and 2020 conferences were discussed with the role of the STLHE Board in the Ottawa 2020 conference clarified. 

A motion was passed declaring that STLHE has no collaboration or partnership with Teaching and Learning Canada. 

Regarding STLHE’s website refresh, it was decided not to partner with OneHE at this time.
