Profile: Anita Acai

Hi there!

I am the CANnect forum moderator. My job is to make this platform an inclusive, informative, and welcoming space to share thoughts, ideas, and resources related to teaching and learning in higher education.

My "day job" is as an assistant professor and education scientist in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioural Neurosciences at McMaster University. Outside of my primary research interests in health professions education, I am an active contributor to the scholarship of teaching and learning (SoTL). As a 2019 ISSOTL Fellow and 2013 3M National Student Fellow, I remain actively engaged in the SoTL community.

Fun facts about me: I like cold pizza and I once met LL Cool J in an elevator while staying at a hotel in Michigan!
